Self-Rescue Survival Swimming Lessons
Self-Rescue Survival Swimming Lessons
ISR lessons are one-on-one with me for approximately 6 -8 weeks and are customized to each child's developmental level. Lessons are Monday-Friday for 10 minutes a day. Check out my FAQ section for info on why we do lessons 5 days a week !
Babies who CAN sit unassisted and crawl, generally 6-12 months old, learn to hold their breath underwater, roll onto their back to float, rest and breathe.
Children between 18 months and 24 months
May not be developmentally ready to do the entire swim-float-swim sequence. Some may learn to swim- float-swim, and others will learn to swim then roll onto their back and maintain that float until rescued. This will be assessed the first week of class
Older, more mobile children will learn the full ISR Self-Rescue® sequence of swimming until they need air, rotating onto the back to float, then rolling back over to continue swimming. ISR students are taught to repeat this sequence until they reach the safety of the steps, side of the pool, or the shoreline
